Miguel Sierra brings a global executive perspective to the human questions at the heart of leadership: how to earn trust, make sound decisions, understand people and guide organizations across cultures. His career spans more than 40 years of professional experience, including over 30 years of senior international executive leadership across the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
He has served as CEO, President, COO, CFO, Board Chairman and Managing Director. Working in more than 15 countries, he has led finance and insurance operations, advised corporations and served on boards. His experience connects strategic planning, corporate governance, risk management and financial discipline with the daily responsibility of leading people.
At Pan American Life’s Caribbean Region, Miguel led operations across 13 countries, overseeing 315 employees, more than 500 insurance agents and approximately US$95 million in annualized premiums. At ACE Andina, he led a 32.5% increase in net written premiums and a 37.5% improvement in underwriting results within two years. These experiences inform his approach to leadership in complex international environments.

Miguel began his professional career in accounting and auditing in 1977. In 1982, he began teaching Accounting and Finance at Universidad de las Américas. The two paths have informed each other ever since.
His approach connects real business cases with critical thinking, participation and practical leadership frameworks. He adapts his teaching to the experience and objectives of the audience.
